I commissioned Elicia to produce a portrait of the singer Aaliyah Haughton for one of my colleagues as a leaving present. Elicia worked patiently with me to find the perfect photo of Aaliyah to use as for the portrait and was clear about how long it was likely to take to produce the piece. I was extremely happy with the final piece and my colleague was moved to tears when we presented her with it. Elicia's talent shines through in her work which is why I would recommend her highly.

Elicia's painting of the legend that is Nina Simone is absolutely breathtaking. The level of detail she has managed to capture, truly brings Nina back to life in all her glory and splendour and the expression on her face fills me with joy every time I set my eyes upon it. Elicia's portraits are particularly note worthy, her use of colour and texture can add an almost 3 dimensional prospective to her work. The vibrant colours never become over-bearing and the detail within the work allows an appreciation of the facets within the work. These qualities are featured in the work Elicia was commissioned to undertake and the portrait is much appreciated by myself and those who have the opportunity to see it.
