I specialise in water mixable oils and you will see from my online portfolio both here and on my social media platforms, my master pieces consists of cityscapes, portraiture and figurative work both as commissioned or original pieces.
Just a little background to me; I was born in Hackney, East London and my creative talent was first recognised by my mother at the early age of 3 years old. I studied art up to A-levels and then stopped in early 90's to get a job in retail. However, in 2008 an opportunity for a paid commission was presented to me and without hesitation I accepted the job. This one commission, led to a further nine more paid commissions and that is how my journey started as a professional artist.
My inspiration to paint has come from two of my favorite artists, Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein and portraiture artist Jonathan Yeo. Both have inspired me in different ways from the Roy's bold use of colours and his reinterpretation of a comic strips to represent reality, to Jonathan's paintings that capture the essence and narrative of a person in his work. However, my main influencer and the person I describe as 'my first art teacher' is my mother. She taught me not only the fundamentals, but also how to use my visual art to communicate and appreciate all the benefits of creating.
My accomplishments over the years have included commissioned artwork for individuals, businesses in both the private and public sector, along with entertainment events such as tribute event for actor Larrington walker at the BAFTA's and recently a commissioned 18th century family portrait painting for a British comedy film 'Living Dead'.
If you wish to commission me for an art piece, either for your home, office, event or a surprise gift for someone, I provide a professional one to one service and will walk you through the process to make it an enjoyable experience. Take a look at my portfolio here or on social media for past artwork and complete my contact form on the site.
